How much does it cost?
This question is almost always prominent for anyone seeking legal representation. In today's market, neither businesses nor consumers can afford much uncertainty. Although traditional hourly billing remains the most reasonable method of fixing compensation in many cases, fixed fees make sense for many routine services.
On this page, you will find a menu of common services that I offer my clients at a reasonable fixed price. Rest assured that regardless of the method of pricing, all work is performed to the highest standards of professional quality.
Where the scope of work falls outside of a fixed fee service, my standard rate is $250 per hour. I will make every effort to provide you with a reasonable and reliable estimate, and will keep you apprised if there is an unexpected increase in the amount of time necessary to properly address your issue.

Fixed fee legal services are currently offered as follows. All are exclusive of agency filing fees or other third party costs:
Incorporation
$800 for incorporation of an S or C corporation in any jurisdiction. This includes selection of an appropriate name, filing of organizational documents and preparation of governing documents such as bylaws, initial meeting minutes, and stock certificates. This fee does not include any services provided with respect to sales of stock.
LLC Formation
$600 for formation of a California limited liability company with a single member. For multi-member LLCs, the fee is $1400, including a comprehensive operating agreement with buy-sell provisions.
Partnership Agreements
$1200 for a general partnership agreement with buy-sell provisions.
Buy-Sell Agreements
$800 for a buy-sell agreement between corporate shareholders.
Trademark Registration
$500 for filing the initial application, including review and consultation regarding your choice of trademark. Be aware that many trademark filings will require follow up communications with the USPTO.
Estate Planning
A basic estate plan including planning for non probate transfers, a will, and powers of attorney for property and health care: $750 single/$1000 couples
A basic estate plan with the addition of a revocable trust: $1500 single/$2000 couples
Estate planning for a taxable estate: $2500 single/$3000 couples
